The Scottish Amalgamated Committee each year hold their “May Rally”, the largest parade by our Association outside Londonderry. Each year a different Branch Club plays host to the parade, this year is the turn of Possilpark Murray Club in Glasgow on 22nd May.
The parade will move off at 12.00 from Ruchill Park, Glasgow. The route will follow Bilsland Drive, Marryhill Road, St Georges Cross, St Georges Road, Possil Road, Saracen Street, Balmore Road before returning to Bilsland and then Ruchill Park.
Up to 44 bands and 45 Branch Clubs are expected to be on parade, with the Scottish Amalgamated Committee at the head of the parade, accompanied by the Millar Memorial Flute from Belfast. Also travelling over from Northern Ireland are the William King Memorial Flute Band from the Fountain in Londonderry.
The marshalling point will be in the grounds of Ruchill Park. Food and refreshments will be available from mobile vendors situated on the road towards the marshalling point within the park. First aid cover will be provided by St Andrew's Ambulance in the park and at various other locations around the parade.
