The Manchester Clubs hosted their annual parade on 1st May this year with a larger parade than usual with over one hundred Apprentice Boys and six bands on parade. The parade was greeted by large crowds around the city centre, many of them enjoying the sight of an Apprentice Boys' parade for the first time.
Local members and bands were joined by brethren from the Parent Clubs in Londonderry and two bands from Northern Ireland: the Shankill Fusiliers and the Pride of Donaghadee.
The other local bands were: Anfield Road Young Conquerors; Blues and Royals, Liverpool; Spirit Flute, Stewarton and British Ulster Alliance Flute.
Thanks go to the bands who accompanied the Association on the parade, and we look forward to seeing more parades by the Apprentice Boys through the streets of Manchester.
